of Scrapland and all the different elements that it has. You can customize ships, you can fly them, you can hack into robots to absorb their powers, and all of that is implemented into various quests, using unique mechanics to solve tricky puzzles. Something about hearing that booster sound on different engines is just so good, and I also really enjoy that slinky mechanic you can use to increase your speed or tag your opponents. I realize the game does not have much going on in between, for the most part you follow the story unless you want to upgrade your ship or find some new parts. The ship combat and the racing challenges are pretty fun, the pumping music certainly helps with that. Call of Juarez Gunslinger
I know it’s not super well implemented and I wish the game utilized its features more often, but taking into considerating all of the different things they tried to do, I really enjoyed what it had. and surrounded by a world-scaled energy field and an orbital ring, both used to control entrance and exit of the planet. similarities on a surface level, but the overall experience is so different, it’s just not for the same audience. In contrast to Alice, Scrapland is extremely lighthearted, even when there is a murder in the cutscene, everything is played for a joke, and I understand it can get very annoying, but I loved it anyway, it’s just like watching cartoon network,
If you never had a chance to play this game it’s extremely creative in terms of gameplay and the narrative, and while the world does not offer a ton of sandbox content, the combat and race challenges are pretty fun. Yes, the narrative is kinda cringy, despite some dark tones and sexy bots, it’s surprisingly kid-friendly in a strange way. The tone of this game is a bit confused, if you don’t take it too seriously you might just enjoy it. I always loved the feel of the game, just having that speed on boosters and tagging walls to catch up, then you put the bigger engine on a smaller ship and it’s even better, just really fun, even if it’s not very deep in terms of actual purpose. Kart Racing Pro
Love the visuals, all different engines with different flames, all the robots crackings dumb jokes, and just unique aesthetic in general. I mean let’s be honest, I just needed a reason to replay it, with achievements. This game does not offer much in terms of the sandbox experience, there are some tasks you can do like different challenges, looking for blueprints, and collecting currency, but that is mostly it. I think the main story is super fun, like I said, I really love the characters and the design of the world in general, the quests are creative, the cutscenes are hilarious, and the combination of genres makes it such a unique experience.
I get it’s an old game, but if you advertise a feature, it should be in the game, not in my GPU settings, and if it creates problems, why even tell me that. The resolution settings don’t affect me personally, but you should just clarify about the UI thing. Can you like, add more mouse settings into the game? Maybe even lower the menu speed so people don’t freak out. Just out of curiosity, can you list ALL OF THE CHANGES on the store page, honestly I don’t even know what to look for a lot of the time, it’s been so long. Is there some new music too, is that a new/lost track on the dance floor? Now, this is more of a personal thing, if you ever feel like making the character immune while landing, by all means. You could also mod the hint about the dialogue. Pokemon Ultra Sun
sometimes I forget you can scroll the text options with the middle mouse, confusing for new players I think as the UI does not do a good job showing additional options. I think we all have that game from the past that we love, perhaps blindly so, maybe it’s a relic of its time – the unapologetic cheesy adventure. I just love how unique and playful this game is, and I feel like when the devs made this game, they really made a game they wanted. We just don’t see many games like that anymore, companies are too afraid to take risks, they would rather make something proven to make money. And with that, I just want to say thank you to whoever made it possible, I don’t care about this remaster or improved graphics, I still love the game just for what it is. One of my all-time favorites.
